Mrs, Bailey Dies Last Thursday The sister of Mrs. Repsie Mc Gee and Mrs. Fred Hales, Mrs. Wi nona Liles Bailey of Raleigh, died last Thursday morning at Rex Hospital of a cerebral hemorrhage. Mrs. Bailey, who was 68 years old, was the widow of the late chief of police, Archie L. Bailey of Raleigh. She was a member of Hayes-Barton Baptist Church and the Daniels Golden Age Club. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Pennington Smith Funeral Chapel with the Rev. W. W. Finlator and the Rev. O. J. Hagler officiating. Burial was in Oakwood Cemetery. Surviving are two sons, George L. Bailey and John Blois Bailey, hnth of Roloirrk • Mrs. Leslie C. Hines of Goldsboro, Mrs. George L. Baldinger of Poughkeepsie, N. Y., Mrs. Henry Walden, Jr., of Lumberton and Mrs. R. T. Green of Raleigh; 10 grandchildren and one great grandchild; four brothers, Melvin Liles of Jacksonville, Fla., Jim Liles of Richmond, Va., Weldon Liles of Smithfield, and Wilson Liles of Wilson; four sisters, Mrs. McGee and Mrs. Hales, both of Zebulon, Mrs. W. D. Ellis of Wen dell and Mrs. Julian Williford of Raleigh. Pallbearers were her nephews, Bobby McGee, Wilbur Hales, Billy Williford, Mallie Liles, Vernon El lis and Jake Ellis. The casket was covered with a pall of red carnations. The church choir sang, “Sweet Peace.” Cantata To Be Presented Sunday The Education Department of the Wendell Christian Church, un der the chairmanship of Mrs. John Glover, will present “Alleluia,” an Easter cantata in song and story, on Sunday evening, April 14 at 8 p.m. Mrs. Glover is being assist ed by Miss Bertie Barham, Mrs. W. W. Parrish, director of the Chancel Choir, Mrs. Jim Peebles and Mrs. M. C. Todd, organist. Participating in this Cantata will be the Youth Choir, Chancel Choir, and the Men’s Chorus. Filling solo parts will be John D. Mattox and Mrs. Jim Peebles. Mr. Donald Wayne Thomas will serve as Narrator and Mr. Mack Roberts will be in charge of lighting. Youth Choir Angels are Steve Henderson, Edward Faison, Phyllis Parish and Linda Mattox. Members of the Youth Choir are Susan Thomas, Susan Tunstall, Beth Liles, Helen Glover, Marian Faison, Gwen Barham, Virginia Glover, Gray Knott, Warren Hen derson, George Bruce Knott, Kent Henderson, David Henderson, Lucy Thomas, Ann Ledford, Fran ces Tunstall, Anne Glover, Pa tricia Parish and Elizabeth Bourke Bilisoly. Others having parts in the can tata are Candace Ann Tongue, Deborah Cook, Sally Jo Hanny, Trixie Stillwell, Anna Maria Mat tox, Ray Roberts, Margaret Ruth Thomas, Ann Knott, Dianne Hunt, Mrs. Curtis Todd, Mrs. W. W. Par ish and Mrs. P. L. White, Jr. All members and friends of the church and the community are in vited to share in this service. Airman Williams Reassigned to Libya Airman Second Class Kirby F. Williams of Zebulon, is being reas signed to Libya following his grad uation from the United States Air Force technical training course for air traffic controllers at Keesler Field, Miss. Airman Williams, son of Mr. and Mrs. Herman H. Williams of Rt. 1, Zebulon, was trained in the proper control of airport traffic and air approach and air route traffic.
